Junior Pony Club

Junior Pony Club runs for a 28 week session  all winter.  You may use your own horse or one of ours.  We have two tracks... one that has 2 lessons a month and one that has 4 lessons a month.  You join the one that best fits your budget and time constraints.

We follow the United Stated Pony Club curriculum and complete an informative 200 page activity book.  When we finish the session your child is well on their way to being able to do the first United States Pony Club rating test.. the D1.

We will complete a minimum of 10 badges that encompass the things we are learning about horses and ponies including, Horse Care, Stable Management, Grooming, Safe Riding and others.   There are 20 Badges total, some of which cover more advanced riding which may take more than one  session.

The classes are once a week and run 2+ hours.  Each week is a full course on a particular topic  and includes  40min of ride time.

What is the best part?  It is fun!  And there is lots of cuddle time  with one of our darling ponies !

We finish the session in the spring with a small "practice" horse show to demonstrate our skills.

Cost is $190 per 4 classes.  (28 classes make up a session).  We encourage our riders to come to all the classes, and most do, but it is not required.    We have a $60. materials fee which includes the workbook and a  Tahoe Meadows Barn Jacket where your child can display their badges.

Space is limited.  Please call immediately to register for Fall 2008.  916-947-6238   A $100. deposit is required.

We limit the class size to 4-6 children and offer a Sat Class or a Wed Class (4 times a month) and a monday class 2 times a month.
